How much does IDFA Pocket cost?
The iPhone, iPad and Apple TV apps are free. The Mac app is also free to download; a non-consumable one-time purchase unlocks the full Mac app for use. The price is €9.99 in the German App Store. In other regions, the price displayed in the store before purchase applies. There is no subscription. iPhone, iPad and Apple TV do not require the Mac purchase.
How do I restore the Mac unlock?
Sign in to the Mac App Store with the Apple Account that made the one-time purchase. Then use IDFA Pocket’s restore-purchases function with an active internet connection. This checks an existing purchase again, for example after reinstalling or on another compatible Mac.
Your App Store purchase account can differ from your iCloud account. The Pocket collection syncs through iCloud, while the Mac unlock is checked through your App Store purchase account. The licence is not stored with your Pockets.
Why is the Mac app still locked after a purchase?
The Mac app unlocks only after its purchase entitlement is successfully verified. A pending or cancelled purchase does not unlock it. Check your purchase account and internet connection, then restore the purchase. If Apple has confirmed the purchase but the app remains locked, contact support with the displayed error message. Do not send passwords or payment-card details.
How do I request a refund?
Request a refund of the Mac in-app purchase from Apple. Apple reviews whether the purchase is eligible. If Apple revokes the purchase entitlement, for example after a refund, the Mac unlock stops being active when that status is processed. The free iPhone, iPad and Apple TV apps still do not require this purchase.
Why is no IDFA displayed?
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV only provide a usable IDFA with the required tracking permission. Check the system privacy settings. Age, account or device restrictions may prevent permission. IDFA Pocket cannot bypass them. Mac manages your collection and does not read a local Mac IDFA.
Why is a saved ID still there after turning off ATT?
A saved ID is a snapshot. Changing tracking permission later prevents further access to the local ID but does not erase previous entries. Delete entries you no longer need from your Pocket collection.
How does my collection reach other devices?
Use the same available iCloud account on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with iCloud enabled for the app. Apple TV uses the selected user's account. Open the app with an internet connection and check its sync status. Pending local changes may wait until iCloud is reachable. A TV upload is saved in iCloud only after server confirmation.
Does QR transfer work with another iCloud account?
Yes. The QR code directly carries the ID, confirmed device name, device type and optional capture time. Scan it inside the iPhone or iPad app, then choose whether to save it. The code is unencrypted, so anyone with access can read it.
Why does the scanner need the camera?
The camera is used to read a QR code. Images are not saved or uploaded. If permission is denied, you can allow camera access for IDFA Pocket in system settings. The scanner does not open arbitrary links.
What do platform checkmarks mean?
Platforms, colours and checkmarks are your own organizational notes. A checkmark records only what you marked yourself. It does not check an advertising account or register a test ID with an ad provider.
How do I change advertising choices?
On iPhone and iPad, open the information sheet and choose “Ad privacy options” where required for your region. Apple tracking permission is managed separately in system settings. Mac and Apple TV show no ads.
How do I delete my data?
You can remove entries and platforms on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Changes sync through iCloud. Uninstalling alone does not erase the iCloud collection. Technical synchronization records and platform marks may remain after an entry is removed. The privacy notice explains complete removal.
Why am I seeing a Mac notification?
The optional feature announces newly received IDs. Notifications do not include an advertising ID. Disable them in IDFA Pocket or in macOS notification settings.
